Frequently Asked Questions
What does the trial class cover?
The trial class is an introduction to our usual group classes and includes some time on the ski simulator as well as an explanation of our lesson packages. Please note that this is not a full 1-hour session on the ski simulator.
Can I make more than one booking for the trial class?
No, each person is allowed to make only one booking for the trial class. We reserve the right to cancel and refund any additional bookings made by the same customer.
Can I book with friends to come to the same class?
We only allow one booking per person and cannot guarantee that the same slots will be available when your friend books. Alternatively, you can take advantage of our upsell offer to upgrade to a trial private class, which allows you to be in the same class as your friend.
Can I reschedule the class due to inconvenience or time conflict?
Yes, you can reschedule the class with a 24-hour notice to avoid a charge. For group or special event bookings, we require a 48-hour notice. We allow a maximum of two rescheduling requests. If you cannot attend after the second reschedule, the $8 fee is forfeited.
Can I get a refund if I can't make it or don't get the slot I want?
There are no refunds for the trial class. Slots are based on availability, and we allow a maximum of two rescheduling requests if you need to change slots. If you wish to attend a class with your friends, please consider our upsell offer to upgrade to a trial private class.
How does indoor skiing compare to real slopes?
Indoor skiing on our state-of-the-art simulators closely mirrors the experience of real slopes, providing controlled conditions that allow for focused skill development. While the elements of wind and weather differ, the mechanics, techniques, and equipment used are very similar, making it an effective training ground for beginners and seasoned skiers alike.
What age groups do you cater to?
We welcome enthusiasts of all ages, from spirited children to adventurous seniors! Our ski programs start from 7 years old, offering customized training tailored to each age group's capabilities and learning pace. Dive into the thrill of skiing or snowboarding with us, no matter your age!
How many lessons do I need before I can ski confidently?
The number of lessons varies by individual, but most of our students feel confident on the slopes after 10-20 sessions. We recommend starting with a basic package and then assessing progress to determine the need for additional lessons.
Are the instructors certified?
Absolutely. All our instructors are certified professionals with extensive experience in skiing and snowboarding. They are dedicated to providing the highest quality instruction and ensuring a safe learning environment.
What safety measures are in place?
Safety is our top priority. We maintain strict safety protocols including proper use of equipment, controlled simulator settings, and regular checks. All participants are also given a safety briefing before each session.
Can I book group or family lessons?
Yes, we offer both group and family lesson packages. These sessions are a great way to learn together and share the joy of skiing and snowboarding. Please contact us for more information and to arrange your group or family session.
What equipment do I need?
For indoor skiing and snowboarding, we provide all necessary equipment, including skis, snowboards, boots, and helmets. You are welcome to bring your own gear, but it’s not required.
What if I have never skied or snowboarded before?
No problem at all! Our academy specializes in lessons for beginners. We’ll guide you through every step, from basic techniques to more advanced skills, at your own pace.
How do I track my progress?
We use a Ski Progression Passport to track each student’s achievements and improvements. Instructors provide regular feedback and updates to ensure you understand your progress and next steps.
